If I understand correctly, ETH will see a price jump before it lowers its cost and improve scalability? How is that good? That can mean a 100% jump in ETH is also a 100% jump in gas fees. People are already complaining about ETH's gas fees. Such a move would drive more users away from ETH.

I think we're in the part of the cycle similar to when ETH crashed from $450 to $150 only to completely rebound to $1900. Putting an extra zero on each number you have $4500 to $1500, rebounding to $19000. Food for thought.
