I love your videos Guy but I can't help noting that a few months ago you dismissed BTC energy concerns as FUD but are now acknowledging they're actually rather serious. Anyone who's attended climate change 101 knows that action on fossil fuel power is inevitable, even in USA. Govn't will clamp down ever harder on anything to improve carbon footprints and competition for renewables will become ever more fierce. As you have clearly noted here, no society will allow granny to freeze to death in favour of BTC. That is a serious threat to BTC long term – it's not going to be digital gold if it can't function! Blockchain technology and POS is really where the value is. I'm increasingly hedging my crypto investing with some of these alt coins and the very exciting opportunities they are opening up.

Well an energy crisis is concerning in terms of network security I do wonder how much hashpower is actually off grid already. Warmer countries are likely to see less disruption to their energy which could also be a factor. If there ever was a case to become energy independent this would be it.
