📝 Overview 📝
The Republic Protocol is a blockchain project developing a decentralised dark pool protocol.
Utility token is REN which is an ERC20 token. Token was issued on the 21 Feb 2018 and they completed an ICO in January and February of 2018 where they raised 5,000 ETH.
Token currently has most of their trading on the Binance exchange. Token trading is volatile as liquidity is still rather thin.

Hi!
Just wanted to inform you that your information is quite outdated. Ren rebranded away from Republic protocol a long time ago, to only REN. Their main goal is not to create a dark pool. Its merely a demonstration of how multi party computation can work. They are solely working on developing RenVM at the moment. The RenVM will provide liquidity through other protocols that decides to take on Ren into their project. The rewarding system of a Dark Node will work the same (100k to run 1 node, that secures the network and pays the node holder).
The scope of the project is so much larger now, and the development has gone so much further.
